Sky puts its basic channels back on Virgin

This isn't strictly speaking an HD story, but we've got so many friends who were pissed off when Sky acrimoniously fell out with Virgin Media and summarily pulled its channels of the Virgin Cable TV platform that we just have to bring you all the good news. Which is that Sky has buried the hatchet with Richard Branson's TV wing and agreed to put some of its core channels back on the Virgin cable services.

The channels involved will include Sky 1, Sky 2, Sky 3, Sky News, Sky Sports News, Sky Arts 1, Sky Arts 2, Sky Real Lives, and Sky Real Lives 2. And apparently the new deal will run until June 12th 2011 - just long enough for Virgin subscribers to catch up the re-runs of all the Lost episodes they missed...
