Xbox 360 outguns PS3 during key sales period
Never one to keep a bit of good news to itself, Microsoft has been crowing over the past couple of days about the sales its Xbox 360 console achieved during America's Black Friday Thanksgiving weekend.
Apparently it shifted three Xbox 360 consoles for every one PS3 - impressive figures for a console more than a year older than Sony's machine.
There could be a number of reasons for this sudden Xbox 360 resurgence, but we suspect it's down to that most fundamental of issues right now: price. For since Microsoft slashed the price of the Xbox 360 back in September it's seen sales of the console soar around the world.
Which kind of makes us wonder just how much more evidence Sony needs before it does a little price-cutting of its own...
